Stewart Brand, How Buildings Learn: Part One, “Flow” (1997)

This compelling six-part BBC series — based on Brand’s writing — presents a look at the disparity between design and use in modern architecture, and argues cogently for the need of both form and function. Very educational and entertaining stuff — helped immensely by an original Brian Eno score. Parts two-six are also available on Google video.
